Experience Spring on the farm with NYC's only sheep shearing festival!
Take guided tours, witness live sheep shearing demonstrations, and immerse yourself in farm life. Learn about wool processing, shop for Queens Farm's unique yarn, and watch skilled artisans showcase spinning, dyeing, weaving, knitting, and crochet. Enjoy live music by Mojo and the Mayhem and the Folk Music Society of New York, plus hayrides ($6), kids' crafts, and a free scavenger hunt. Explore the historic Adriance Farmhouse, grab seedlings at the spring plant sale, and visit the Con Edison Ecology Booth for recycling tips and Adopt-a-Worm. Discover antique tractors, colonial cooking demos, and interactive activities, all while indulging in delicious fare from local food vendors.
Festival is from 11 am to 4 pm; Shearing demonstrations take place at 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, & 3 pm.
Tickets: $15 adults, $12 children (ages 3-11). Free for ages 2 and under.
